  4. Always GOING THE EXTRA MILE

Getting ahead of the curve. Embracing the new normal.

We actively focusing on The UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We are responsible to our clients in ensuring hardware and IT we use, and recommend, is non-environment negligent, from postage of laptops and using responsible manufacturers, to energy used in our Datacentres.

We have partnered with Microsoft & Ingram Micro Trust X Alliance to advance this journey.

WWCS History

History

We have pedigree.
We started as a family business and keep much of these original qualities today.

1983 - Founded.

1983

Founded.

WW Computer Systems was founded in 1983 by Neil & Simone Lester. The business, a Word Processing Bureau (called Word Workshop), started from a small shop in Edgware, NW London. The business took hand-written client letters and simply typed them up and printed them out to make them look more “professional!”.Neil Lester was a pioneer in technology and had one of the first desktop computers in the UK.
1990 - Business grows... IT support

1990

Business grows... IT support

Our first client requiring IT Support walked through the door in 1990…”I cant open Word Perfect, can you please help”.From there the business grew in to supplying and supporting desktop computers. This was at the same time the likes of Amstrad, Tulip and Compaq launched their PC range. Computers were sold with MS Dos 6.22!

2001 - Relationships built

2001

Relationships built

In 2001 Marc Lester graduated from University and joined the Family Business. At this time the business strengthened and focused on IT Support and new technologies such as Internet and Email (with dial-up modems and internet speeds 0.6% of what they are today!)
2005 - Tech is born

2005

Tech is born

Still one year before the birth of the IPhone, WWCS moves to its first “real” office and takes on its first employees… The business went from a family concern to employing 5 peoples, supporting 50 clients. Support engineers were running all over London to fix printer paper jams and to install Word & Excel for clients (which came on 30 disks!)… and was well before the world of remote support!

2009 - Founders retire... team grows

2009

Founders retire... team grows

In 2011 Neil & Simone Lester retired from the business. The business continues to be run with the original ethos of strong customer care, relationships and technological mastery.Internet Speed increased which saw the birth of the “Cloud”
